Acapulco Cocktail Recipe

Do this - a large long drink and pretend it isn’t winter. Unless, of course, you happen to be happily in the Southern Hemisphere…

INGREDIENTS

1 part Tequila
1 part White rum
2 parts Pineapple juice
2 parts Grapefruit juice
5 Ice cubes

Pour the rum and tequila into a tumbler over the ice. Top up with the juices.

Mai-Tai Cocktail Recipe

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

Mix everything together (except the pineapple juice) and pour over the ice into a highball glass. Top up with pineapple juice.

INGREDIENTS

2 parts White rum
1/2 part Amaretto
1/2 part Orange curacao
1/2 part Lime juice
top up Pineapple juice
Crushed ice

Singapore Sling Cocktail Recipe

Some will add benedictine or even grenadine to a Singapore Sling, but the important thing is the cherry brandy. Ginger beer for soda water is also possible and claimed to be the Raffles Hotel original.

Sea Breeze Cocktail Recipe

Vital is the contrast between the crushed ice and the ice cubes.
Pour the vodka, cranberry juice and grapefruit juice into a tall glass with the ice. Stir well. Decorate with a lime wedge.

Cosmopolitan Cocktail Recipe

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Martini Glass. Garnish With twist of orange peel. This Is The South Beach original version.

INGREDIENTS
1.5 oz. Absolut Citron
0.5 oz. Cointreau
1 dash Lime juice
1 dash Cranberry juice

One of the most popular cocktails, around - perhaps surprising, as it’s rather 60’s/70’s. Should be made with Havana Club, the only official Cuban rum, or maybe a Jamaican rum (Appleton…) and drunk on the patio of the national hotel in Havana, Cuba.

Whisky Sour Recipe

A drink of the Mid-West.

1 part Whisky
1 part Lemon juice
1 part Sugar syrup
5 Ice cubes
1 Lemon rind

Shake the ingredients with cracked ice. Strain and pour into a tumbler.
