Some will add benedictine or even grenadine to a Singapore Sling, but the important thing is the cherry brandy. Ginger beer for soda water is also possible and claimed to be the Raffles Hotel original.

INGREDIENTS

2 parts Gin
1 part Cherry brandy
top up Soda water
1/2 part Lemon juice
1 Lime slice
dash of Sugar syrup
Crushed Ice

Shake all the ingredients (except the soda water) with cracked ice. Strain and pour into a tumbler. Top up with soda water.
