Christmas Nutmeg Cookies
Serves: 6 doz
Ingredients
2/3 cup butter
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cream of tartar
Pecan pieces
Method
- Sift flour, soda, salt, nutmeg and cream of tartar together.
- Cream butter and sugar together. Blend in egg. Add dry ingredients to butter mixture, blending well.
- Roll in 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork and place a piece of pecan in center of each cookie.
- Bake in a 350F oven for approx 10 mins.
