Cranberry Ice Cream

Wonderful as is or serve over apple pie.

Serves: 8

1 gallon of home made or good quality vanilla ice cream
8 oz. fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water

Soften ice cream. Heat cranberries with sugar, and water and bring to a boil over medium heat cooking until cranberries are soft. Stir constantly. Remove from heat to cool down briefly. Swirl in the ice cream and blend well.
Repack ice cream into container and freeze firm overnight.
