Mulled Cider
Serves: 8-10
Ingredients
1 quart apple cider or apple juice
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup pineapple juice
1 quart Ginger Ale (optional)
5 or 6 whole cloves
4 or 5 cinnamon sticks
2 or 3 cups orange juice
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
Thin cut lemon slices
Method
- In a large saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer 15 minutes.
- Strain the mixture. Add 1 teaspoon butter to each mug if desired. Add a thin slice of lemon, if desired.
- Makes 2 or 3 quarts, depending on choice of ingredients.
