Shrimp Broccoli Stir Fry

Serve over hot rice or noodles.

Serves: 3-4


Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined
1 Tbsp peanut oil
2 cups partially steamed fresh broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 Tbsp dry sherry
1 tsp sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water


Method

  1. Heat peanut oil in a wok or skillet and saute shrimp until pink.
  2. Add broccoli, sugar, ginger, sherry, sesame oil and salt and pepper and saute for several minutes.
  3. Combine water and cornstarch and add to mixture and cook until mixture starts to thicken.
