Easy Spiced Cherry Pie

Serve with cream or custard.

Serves: 6


Ingredients

6 oz flour
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp powdered cinammon
3 oz margarine
Water to mix
3/4 lb cherries
1/4 cup Sugar
Egg to glaze


Method

  1. Sieve the flour, salt and cinammon together. Rub in the fat and mix with sufficient water to bind.
  2. Put the cherries into a shallow dish, sprinkle with sugar and a little water, over with the pastry and decorate as desired. Glaze with a little beaten egg.
  3. Bake at 425 F for 40 mins.
